Complete bathroom renovation in Jouxtens-Mézery

With ARENA, FABINHA SA reveals the complete transformation of a bathroom located in a timber-frame villa in Jouxtens-Mézery, in the canton of Vaud. A project where technical requirements meet a contemporary and warm aesthetic, with sand-colored textured tiles, ivory shades, and sophisticated tapware finishes.

A bathroom renovation with a particular technical challenge

Behind every successful renovation are sometimes constraints that the final result does not reveal. The ARENA project is a perfect illustration.

Located in a timber-frame villa, this bathroom required a much deeper transformation than a simple replacement of the coverings and sanitary equipment.

The goal was to completely rethink the layout of the room, with the relocation of the various water points, while taking into account the structural particularities of the home. A demanding intervention, requiring a methodical approach and careful coordination of the different stages of the work.

Strengthening the structure of a timber-frame villa

The renovation of a bathroom in a timber-frame construction presents important technical particularities. Unlike traditional masonry construction, the interventions must take into account the composition of the floors, the load-bearing structure, and the constraints related to the integration of the sanitary installations.

As part of ARENA, FABINHA SA carried out the necessary reinforcements of the existing structure to allow the creation of the new layouts.

This preparatory work was an essential stage of the project. Although invisible once the bathroom is finished, it testifies to the importance given to the quality of execution, beyond the mere aesthetic result.

A new layout of the sanitary equipment

In order to rethink the organization of the bathroom, all the water points were moved.

This modification required the adaptation of the supply and drainage networks, with particular attention paid to their integration within the timber-frame construction.

Revising the layout of the equipment allows for a comprehensive approach to renovation, working not only on materials and finishes, but also on the organization and functionality of the space.

Sand-colored textured tiles as a decorative signature

The choice of coverings occupies a central place in the identity of the ARENA project.

At the level of the sink, sand-colored textured decorative tiles dress the wall and bring relief to the composition. Its texture creates a subtle play of materials and gives character to this space, without breaking with the sought-after soothing atmosphere.

The other surfaces adopt ivory beige tones, chosen for their softness and timeless elegance. This mineral palette allows for the creation of a warm atmosphere, while enhancing the different sanitary equipment.

The combination of these materials and these nuances contributes to a contemporary bathroom, where each element naturally finds its place.

Hansgrohe tapware with brushed chrome black finishes

To complete the layout, the choice fell on Hansgrohe tapware in a brushed chrome black finish.

This finish brings an elegant contrast with the sand and ivory coverings. More nuanced than a classic black, it highlights the lines of the equipment and accompanies the sober aesthetic of the project.

The dialogue between textured surfaces, soft colors, and metallic elements allows for the creation of a refined whole, in which the choice of each finish participates in the overall harmony.

The comfort of a Geberit AquaClean Tuma WC-shower

Beyond aesthetics, ARENA gives an important place to daily comfort thanks to the integration of a Geberit AquaClean Tuma WC-shower.

This equipment combines the traditional functions of a toilet with a water washing system, for a personal hygiene experience designed around comfort and well-being.

A designer glass flush plate comes to complete the installation. Its refined finish integrates into the contemporary aesthetic of the bathroom and contributes to the coherence of the details.

These pieces of equipment illustrate the desire to combine modern sanitary solutions with a selection of elegant and durable materials.

The precision of the work, from reinforcements to finishes

The particularity of ARENA lies in the diversity of the interventions necessary for its creation.

Structural reinforcement, relocation of water points, adaptation of sanitary installations, preparation of supports, installation of coverings, and integration of equipment: each stage has contributed to deeply transforming this bathroom.
