With DOMUS ALTISSIMA, FABINHA SA unveils a high-end apartment renovation in the heart of Gstaad, in the Bernese Alps. Inspired by the authentic character of alpine interiors, this project combines the nobility of solid oak, the restoration of original woodwork, and custom-made contemporary fittings. A transformation where the quality of materials, the precision of finishes, and the balance of volumes give rise to a warm, elegant, and timeless interior.

Reinterpreting alpine elegance in a contemporary interior

Renovating a character apartment in Gstaad involves finding the right balance between preserving its architectural identity and meeting contemporary expectations in terms of comfort, functionality, and aesthetics.

For DOMUS ALTISSIMA, our approach consisted in highlighting natural materials and existing elements while rethinking the spaces in a cleaner style.

Wood, luminous surfaces, matte finishes, and integrated equipment make up a harmonious whole, in which each intervention contributes to preserving the characteristic warmth of alpine interiors.

18 mm solid oak parquet, the natural signature of the project

The doors, windows, and their frames underwent meticulous sanding, allowing the surfaces to be prepared for their new finish while preserving the character of the existing woodwork.

Custom-made false ceilings and dimmable LED lighting

For DOMUS ALTISSIMA, custom-made false ceilings were created to integrate dimmable recessed LED spotlights.

Two custom-made bathrooms with refined atmospheres

The two bathrooms were completely redesigned to create functional and comfortable spaces, while maintaining the aesthetic standards of the rest of the apartment.

The first bathroom stands out with a sage green palette, a soft and vegetal shade that brings a soothing and contemporary atmosphere.

The second favors timeless beige nuances, creating a warm and mineral atmosphere, in harmony with the natural materials present in the home.

These two universes come together around a common search for sobriety, comfort, and quality, without losing their own personality.

Custom-made bathroom furniture and satin brass finishes

In the bathrooms, custom-made solutions allow the fittings to adapt to architectural constraints and daily needs.

For DOMUS ALTISSIMA, the cabinets were custom-made to fit precisely into the existing volumes and create balanced compositions.

The satin brass accessories bring a refined touch to the sanitary spaces. Their soft finish dialogues with the sage green and beige nuances, without breaking the harmony of the materials.

The whole favors clean lines and discreet elegance, where the finishing details fully contribute to visual comfort and the identity of the rooms.

The kitchen occupies an important place in the layout of DOMUS ALTISSIMA. Designed around a minimalist aesthetic, it combines contemporary materials with carefully integrated equipment.

The kitchen cabinets feature an ultra-matte beige soft-touch finish, characterized by its velvety appearance and visual softness. This shade naturally matches the wood and the light palette of the apartment.

The Neolith countertop brings a mineral dimension to the composition. This material is appreciated for its resistance to use and its contemporary aesthetic, particularly suited to high-end kitchens.

The whole composes an elegant and functional space, designed to fit harmoniously into the interior architecture.

V-ZUG Swiss household appliances

To complete the kitchen, the household appliances were selected from V-ZUG, a Swiss manufacturer recognized for its contemporary kitchen equipment.

Their integration is part of the desire to preserve the simplicity of the lines and the consistency of the layout, while offering equipment adapted to daily uses.

The combination of ultra-matte fronts, the mineral countertop, and the integrated appliances contributes to a sober and sophisticated composition, faithful to the spirit of the project.
