Bathroom renovation and extension in Lausanne

With ELEGANZA, FABINHA SA presents a bathroom renovation project in Lausanne, in the canton of Vaud. This project combines the complete extension of an existing bathroom with the creation of a new shower room. Reconfigured spaces, updated plumbing installations, marble-effect tiles and high-end equipment make up a transformation where functionality and the precision of the finishes play an essential role.

Rethinking spaces to transform everyday life

Renovating a bathroom does not only involve replacing equipment or coverings. When the layout of the home allows it, rethinking the spaces can offer new possibilities for organization and significantly improve daily comfort.

For ELEGANZA, our project in Lausanne focused on two complementary transformations: the extension of an existing bathroom and the creation of a new shower room.

The goal was to design spaces better suited to the occupants' needs, while maintaining a coherent and elegant aesthetic through the choice of materials, equipment and finishes.

The complete extension of the main bathroom

The transformation of the main bathroom required careful consideration of the organization of the existing space.

Thanks to a carefully planned extension, the room could be reconfigured to offer a new layout for the sanitary equipment and more fluid circulation.

This project notably involved a complete overhaul of the plumbing, allowing the supply and drainage networks to be adapted to the new layout.

Beyond the gain in space, this reconfiguration allowed the bathroom to be completely reimagined, with more balanced spaces and better integration of the various equipment.

The creation of a new shower room

One of the major features of ELEGANZA is the creation of an additional shower room.

Integrating a new sanitary space into an existing home requires taking several technical constraints into account, notably the availability of networks, the dimensions of the room and the organization of circulation.

For this project, a new layout was designed to create a functional space, harmoniously integrated into the interior design.

This second shower room complements the main bathroom and helps improve the comfort of the home, especially when several occupants wish to have independent sanitary spaces.

A complete overhaul of the sanitary installations

Behind the aesthetics of the new bathrooms lies a major technical project.

The extension of the main room and the creation of a new shower room required an adaptation of the sanitary installations, with an overhaul of the plumbing networks and a new organization of the water points.

These interventions are an essential step to ensure the proper functioning of the equipment and its integration into the new spaces.

For FABINHA SA, the success of a renovation depends as much on the quality of the technical work as on the visible finishes once the project is completed.

Marble-effect tiles for timeless elegance

The choice of coverings plays a central role in the aesthetic identity of the ELEGANZA project.

Marble-effect tiles bring a refined mineral dimension to the sanitary spaces. Their delicate veining and natural shades help create a soft and contemporary atmosphere.

This type of covering allows you to enjoy the characteristic aesthetics of marble while benefiting from the practical advantages of tiles designed for bathrooms.

The overall design favors a sober and harmonious palette, where the mineral surfaces highlight the lines of the sanitary equipment and the precision of the finishes.

45° cuts for carefully finished corners

One of the technical details that sets ELEGANZA apart is the treatment of the tile corners.

45° cuts, also known as miter cuts, were made to create elegant joints between the tiles on the relevant edges.

This technique requires great precision in cutting, fitting the elements and installing them. It allows for a clean finish without systematically resorting to visible corner profiles.

These details, sometimes discreet at first glance, testify to the care taken during the project and contribute to the overall architectural quality.

Contemporary Gessi concealed faucets

To complement the new layouts, the choice fell on concealed faucets from the Italian brand Gessi.

Appreciated for its design approach and clean lines, this faucet range contributes to the clean aesthetic of the sanitary spaces.

Integrating the technical elements into the walls reduces the visual presence of visible equipment and highlights the coverings even more.

Paired with marble-effect tiles, the Gessi faucets contribute to a contemporary composition where every detail is part of a search for balance and sobriety.

Laufen Pro sanitary equipment

The sanitary equipment was selected from the Laufen Pro range, developed by the Swiss manufacturer Laufen.

This collection stands out for its contemporary lines and functional approach to sanitary design.

The clean shapes of the equipment naturally blend with the project's aesthetics while meeting everyday needs.

The choice of these fixtures is part of a desire to create coherent sanitary spaces, combining quality materials, comfort and visual simplicity.

Precision finishes at the service of the whole

In a high-end bathroom renovation, the final quality depends on the consistency between the different stages of the project.

Preparing the surfaces, adapting the sanitary installations, installing the coverings, treating the corners and integrating the equipment require careful coordination.

For ELEGANZA, each intervention was designed with an overall approach to preserve the harmony of the lines, the regularity of the surfaces and the quality of the joints.

It is this attention to technical and aesthetic details that makes it possible to transform existing spaces into contemporary and pleasant bathrooms.

ELEGANZA: a new dimension of comfort in Lausanne

With ELEGANZA, FABINHA SA reveals a project where the transformation of spaces and the care taken with the finishes come together to create two completely reimagined sanitary spaces.

The extension of the main bathroom, the creation of a new shower room, marble-effect tiles with 45° corners and Gessi and Laufen equipment make up an elegant and functional whole.

This renovation in Lausanne reflects our approach: understanding the particularities of a home, adapting the technical installations to the new layouts and paying constant attention to the quality of the materials and finishes.
